William Lawrence Martella

William Lawrence (Bill) Martella died Monday Sept. 6th 2021 in Louisville, CO. He was 93 years old.

Bill was born July 7, 1928 in Louisville, CO to Liberato Albert Martella and Columba Scasserra Martella. He was a lifelong resident of Louisville and graduated from Louisville High School before serving in the US Navy from 1948-1952. He later had a long career at Rocky Flats. Bill married Betty Lou Rosser on December 24th, 1975. They were happily married until her death in 2007.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his sister, Marguierete (Marge), and brothers and sisters in- law; Vincent (Josie), Anthony (Gertie), Albert (Rosie), Edward (Bea), Clarence (Wilma), and Tommy (Mary) all of Louisville, CO.  Bill is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Bill was a lifetime member of St Louis Catholic Church, and the Mile High VFW Post 1771. He enjoyed all sports, fly fishing, and trips to Black Hawk.

Per Bill's request, no services are planned. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Louisville Cemetery. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
