Donald Songer Stark, 65 of Westminster, died Thursday, January 16, 2020 at his residence..
Donald lived a courageous life and never avoided adventure. He left behind his wife Susan (Szydlowski) Stark of 35 years, his three sons: Scott (Laura), Tim and Jeff, and two daughters: Monica and Analiese. His granddaughter, Layla, was a source of incredible pride. His world revolved around his family and the choices he made reflected that.
Don navigated life's challenges with genuine ease. If there was a problem, there had to be a solution. His humor was quick and unique. The joy, laughter, and enthusiasm he created was contagious. His inquisitive mind led him to pursue his career within the Information Technology field, rising to the title of IT Manager.
Don shared his love for music with his talented playing of the guitar. He was an active and passionate member of Spirit of Christ’s music group. Though his battle with cancer took him before his time, the family he created is stronger and wiser because of his existence. Donald's legacy will shine through everyone he has encountered. He was a beacon of light, trust, intelligence and humility.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00am Monday, January 27, 2020 at Spirit of Christ Catholic Church in Arvada, with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, there is a memorial account set up for his teenage daughters’ college fund - https://www.facebook.com/donate/3111537145542875/?fundraiser_source=external_url
