Carla McCabe Obituary

Carla McCabe, 67, passed away on January 1, 2021, at Balfour Senior Living after battling complications from a recurrent brain tumor. She was the wife of James McCabe. They shared 17 years of marriage together.

Carla was born in Denver, Colorado June 19, 1953. She was the daughter of Carl and Kathryn Lessing. She attended Broomfield High School.

Carla earned several college degrees in psychology, science, and early childhood education. Most of her career was with the Department of Energy in various roles. She also owned a daycare for several years.

Carla was a Christian. She loved geology, swimming, car shows with her husband, walking her dog, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her love of her family but especially her love of French Onion dip and her duck collection.

She is survived by her children David Williamson (Cindi Williamson) and Christa Salling (Brandon Salling), step children Eric and Matt McCabe; her grandchildren Brayden, Lily, Sonia, Damien, Brayden and Aubree. She was pre-deceased by her husband James McCabe.

The memorial service will be held in the spring or summer of 2021.
