Patricia Chanudet Stark, 67, passed away on October 18, 2018 in Longmont, Colorado.
Patricia, or "Pat" as she was known, was born June 30, 1951 in Florida. Pat regularly recalled the orange trees, swimming with alligators, shelling and long days spent at the beach. She was married twice, and had two children, Patrick and Allison, whom she devoted much of her life's energy. In her twenties, Pat moved westward, living in Colorado, Idaho, Montana and then back to Colorado where she spent the last 20 years in Longmont. She had a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Montana. Pat loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, even conquering Long's Peak, camping and contemplative time spent by rivers and streams. She was a creative person who loved telling stories, writing poetry, and painting. Pat also was an avid fiction reader, enjoyed gardening, antiques, and travelling. Holidays, including holiday decorations and baked goods, were special times spent with her children and grandchildren.
Pat is survived by her daughter, Allison Stark, and her son-in-law, Brodie Austin, six grandchildren: Calder and Baird Austin, Wilder and Wulfric Stark, Taylor Zienkiewic and Kara Tangedal and her dear friend, Dave Smith. Pat was preceded in death by her son, Patrick Stark.
A small gathering will be held in the summer to celebrate her life.
Heritage Funeral & Cremation Services of Lafayette is handling arrangements.
