It is with great sadness that we tell of the tragic death of our son, Lucas Robert Lile, at the young age of 29 on May 10, 2018. He passed away of a fatal heart attack while working on the mountain trails that he loved so well with Boulder County Parks and Open Space.
Lucas was a true mountain man of robust health with no previous indications of any illness or weakness. His passing is of tremendous shock to his family and all who knew him and will be sorely missed for years to come. His life was filled with travels, adventures, life trials, love and passion and unique humor for his various interests and always seeking new paths of meaning and fulfillment as he went about his daily life. His working career included many tough jobs (i.e. journeyman installing structural steel, lumberjack for tree eradicating company, herding and branding cattle, environmental charcoal processing company, bartender/bouncer, waiter, cement structural foundations for swimming pools, solar panel installation and even spending a year with the French Foreign Legion in France earning his Kappe Blanc.
To honor Lucas and celebrate his life the family is having a memorial gathering at the Boulder American Legion Post 10 on Hwy 32 (north Boulder) on May 19, 2018, at 2:00 - 5:00. Lucas loved getting together with friends and relatives and sharing stories as well as hearing their stories. All will be welcomed to share their memories as well.
