Leroy Kidney was born in 1943 to loving parents, Albert and Georgee (Stienman) Kidney, in Denver, CO. He grew up in Southwest Denver and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1961. He was in the army from 1963-1967 and was stationed at Ft. Bliss in Texas. After his service, he worked for Gates Rubber Company until he joined the Denver Fire Department, in September, 1968. He went on to become a fire investigator before retiring in January, 1995.
He is survived by his wife, Kay (Davis) Kidney of 34 years. He is also survived by his children, Kevin and Stephanie (McCandless) Kidney, Eric and Vikki (Christy) Kidney, Julie Gilliland, David and Kristi (Maddox) Gilliland. He has four grandchildren: Brandon Kidney, Lauren Kidney, Nora Gilliland and Wyatt Gilliland. Additionally, he has a brother, Jerry (Vicki) Kidney, numerous nieces, a nephew, Aunt Goldie, Uncle Tony (Lila) and cousins.
Leroy was an accomplished baseball player in high school and in the Army. He raced motocross, was an avid golfer and enjoyed gathering with family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on July 11, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at The Meadows Golf Club in Littleton, CO.
